Owner and Original PHAT Mermaid
I've been practicing yoga since 2012. It became a form of therapy to deal with depression as I adjusted to being a new military spouse. You could say that yoga saved me.
I found SUP Yoga on my birthday in Hawai'i while my husband was deployed, and it changed my life. I loved it so much I became an instructor, and PHAT Mermaids was born.
I am improving self-esteem, self-acceptance, and mindfulness on lesson at a time. There is something about the healing waters of the ocean that bestows each of my students with the calming release and rejuvenation.
When I am not a Mermaid, I'm busy cooking, gardening, web designing, and blogging about the wonders of being a military spouse and everything that comes with the title.
